Job Summary The primary responsibility of the Respiratory Technician-Certified is to perform cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR), ventilator care, oxygen therapy, medicated aerosol therapy, pulmonary hygiene, blood gases, and other respiratory care procedures.
Education and/or Experience Must be a graduate of an A.
M.
A.
approved school of Respiratory Therapy.
o Must be a Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician.
o BLS, ALS, PALS, and NRP required within six months of employment.
o Completion of the Child Abuse & Dependent Adult Abuse courses for Iowa Mandatory Reporters within 90 days of employment and every three years thereafter.
Acquisition of RRT Credentials encouraged.
Licensure/Certification/Registration Licensed with the NBRC as a Respiratory Technician-Certified.
o Proof of Iowa licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner.
Work Schedule Monday-Friday, 6:
30am-4:
00pm 72 hours every 2 weeks Availability to take calls PRN Pay The hourly range for this position is listed below.
Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
